Even if you can't get actively involved in abolition, if you are a Christian you are called to "Act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly."  This means reining in your consumerism and reevaluating where you spend your money, time, and energy.  I think it's the responsibility of every believing person to incorporate the following four elements into his or her life:

  1. Pray
  2. Volunteer - there are lots of ideas on this blog about where to volunteer to help with the abolition movement, however my strongest suggestion would be to volunteer with children or youth or some capacity in order to help the preventative side of abolition.
  3. Shop
  4. Give - to your organization of choice and your amount of choice
(Note: if you're not religious some of these can still totally apply to you.)
